Websites for salons
We build salon websites: services, online booking with stylist choice and gift vouchers, from €600
Clients look at your work on Instagram, then at your prices and free times on the site. Your site shows both, takes the booking and reminds them the day before.
What a salon's website needs
If you want a website for a beauty or hair salon, it should show your services with prices and durations, let clients book online with the stylist they prefer, display your real work in a gallery and send reminders. We build salon sites from €600 with a content admin, add online booking with staff choice from €2,500, and gift vouchers with online payment from €4,000. Danube Labs is a solo studio in Bucharest, so you speak to the person who builds it.
Services and prices that answer the first question
The first thing a client wants to know is what it costs and how long it takes. List each service with a "from" price and a duration, grouped by category (cut, colour, manicure), and say what changes the price: hair length, a stylist's level, extras. Durations matter twice: clients plan around them, and the booking system needs them to leave the right gap in the calendar. A price list inside an image or a PDF cannot be searched or edited, so we build it as text that you edit in the admin.
Online booking with the stylist of your choice
Clients often ask for a specific person, or for whoever is free. So booking asks what service, with whom (or "anyone") and when, and shows only the slots that fit that service's duration for that person. A salon with several chairs also needs rules for overlapping bookings and for services in two steps, such as colour with a waiting time. This website computes free slots from Google Calendar availability, with a confirmation, a 24-hour reminder, cancel links and time zones handled. Per-stylist calendars extend the same engine and are custom work from €2,500.
A gallery that shows your real work
For a salon, photos are the sales pitch. Group them by service (cuts, colour, bridal, nails), use your own pictures in good light and compress them so the gallery opens fast on mobile data. A client's picture is personal data, and an identifiable face needs consent under the GDPR, so ask in writing and remove a photo when someone asks. Embedding public Instagram posts works through Instagram's oEmbed endpoint, which Meta documents with limits on how the content may be used. A curated gallery on your own site, with a link to your profile, loads faster and does not depend on a third-party script.
Gift vouchers
Vouchers fit gift dates such as 8 March, Valentine's Day and Christmas. The simplest version is a form where the buyer picks an amount or a service and the recipient's name, and you confirm the payment and send a voucher with a code. The full version takes card payment, generates the code, emails the voucher and marks it used when redeemed, which is e-commerce work from €4,000. Set an expiry date, and ask your accountant how vouchers are treated for VAT before you launch.
Reminders and the rules on messages
A reminder the day before reduces empty chairs, and a cancel link lets a client free the slot instead of not turning up. A reminder about a booking the client made is a service message. A message about a new offer is direct marketing, and under Article 13 of Directive 2002/58/EC it generally needs prior consent, with a narrow exception for your own similar services to existing customers who can opt out every time. Keep the two apart, add an unticked consent box for offers and ask a lawyer if unsure. SMS reminders need a provider that charges per message, so check its current prices.
Found on the map
Most salon searches are local. A free Google Business Profile with services, photos, hours and a link to your booking page is the first step, and Google explains how to add or claim it. The site then adds a page for each service and for the neighbourhoods you serve.

How it works
How a salon site gets built
- 1
A call about services, staff and calendars
We list your services and durations, who does what, working hours, breaks, services in two steps and whether clients choose the stylist.
- 2
Price list and photos
You send prices, durations and photos, with written consent for any picture of a client. We structure the list and prepare the images for mobile.
- 3
Booking build and test
We test overlapping bookings, a long service, a cancellation and a day off, before any client sees the booking page.
- 4
Launch, Instagram and Maps
We publish, link the site from Instagram and your Google Business Profile, and show your team how to block time and edit prices.
Budget
What a salon site costs

Related work
There is no salon client to point to, and we do not invent one. The closest real work is the booking engine. This website computes free slots from Google Calendar availability, shows each visitor their own time zone and sends a confirmation, a 24-hour reminder and a signed cancel link. The RecMed clinic is a concept we built to show a booking flow with confirmation and a team page, in light and dark themes. For a salon we would add per-stylist calendars, service durations and the gallery and voucher flows described above. Browse the rest in the portfolio.
FAQ
Questions, answered
How much does a website for a salon cost?
A presentation site with services, prices, a gallery, a content admin and technical SEO costs €600–1,500. Online booking with staff choice starts at €2,500. Gift vouchers with online payment start at €4,000. A single-page template site costs €150–350 but has no admin. The final price is set in writing after the first call.
Can clients choose their stylist online?
Yes. The booking asks for the service, the stylist or "anyone" and the time, and shows only slots that fit that service's duration for that person, given working hours, breaks and days off. It is custom work from €2,500, because each stylist needs a calendar and the rules for long or two-step services.
How do you avoid double bookings?
Free slots come from the calendar's own availability, so a booked or blocked time no longer shows as free. Each stylist's calendar holds their appointments, breaks and days off. We test overlaps, long services and cancellations before launch. When the salon blocks time in the calendar, the site reflects it.
Can we sell gift vouchers online?
Yes, in two ways. A simple form takes the amount and the recipient's name, and you confirm payment and send the voucher. The full flow takes card payment, generates a code with an expiry date, emails the voucher and marks it used, from €4,000. Ask your accountant how vouchers are treated for VAT.
Can the site show my Instagram?
Yes. Public posts can be embedded through Instagram's oEmbed, and Meta limits how that content may be used. We often prefer a curated gallery on your site with a link to your profile, because it loads faster and needs no third-party script. Your link in the Instagram bio points to the booking page.
Are email or SMS reminders allowed?
A reminder about a booking the client made is a service message. Offers are direct marketing and generally need prior consent under Article 13 of Directive 2002/58/EC. We keep them separate with an unticked consent box. SMS needs a provider that charges per message. Ask a lawyer if your case is unclear.
Can we change prices and working hours ourselves?
Yes. The admin lets you edit prices, durations, photos and texts in both languages. Working hours, breaks and days off live in each stylist's calendar, so your team blocks time the way they already do. We show you at launch, and the timeline is agreed in writing after the first call.
