Website creation
Website creation for businesses in Romania, from €150
A static one-pager, a presentation site you edit yourself, or a site coded from scratch. Clear price bands, technical SEO included, and the domain and code registered to you.
Which website you need and what it costs
We build websites for businesses across Romania in three forms: a static site of 1–2 pages (€150–350), a presentation site of up to 8 pages with an admin panel (€600–1,500), and a site or web app coded from scratch (from €2,500). These are indicative prices, open to negotiation and fixed in a written quote before any work starts. The domain, the accounts and the code stay in your name.
Which kind of site fits you
| Type | Who it suits | Who edits the text | Indicative price | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Static site, 1–2 pages | Tradespeople, sole traders and new companies that need an online business card | We do, on request | €150–350 | 1–2 weeks after we have the text |
| Presentation site with admin | Service businesses that change prices, offers or staff often | You, from the admin panel | €600–1,500 | 3–6 weeks |
| Custom site or web app | Businesses with bookings, client accounts, price calculators or links to other systems | You, plus the features built for you | from €2,500 | 6–12 weeks or longer |
Treat the timelines as ranges. The biggest factor is how fast the text, the photos and your feedback on the design arrive. A presentation site with finished copy can go live in three weeks; the same site can take two months when the copy is written along the way.
What you need to prepare
- The text: what you do, for whom, your prices or starting prices, the area you cover. We turn your notes into web copy; if you want us to write everything from scratch, we put that in the quote.
- Real photos of your work, your premises or your people. They persuade better than stock images, which visitors spot quickly.
- Logo and colours, if you have them. If not, we start from a text logo and a simple palette.
- The domain: if you already own one, give us access to the registrar account. If not, you buy it in your company's name and we help you pick it.
- Company details for the contact and legal pages: name, tax ID (CUI), trade register number, registered office, email. Romania's e-commerce law, Law 365/2002, requires this information to be easy to find.
What stays yours
The domain is registered to your company. The code lives in a Git repository we hand over to you, and the hosting, Google Search Console and analytics accounts are created on your email address. If you later want to work with someone else, you leave with everything. For presentation sites we usually use the same architecture as our own site: no database, with the admin panel saving every page as a file in Git. We explain why in our article on running a website without a database. The result has fewer moving parts to update and secure.
Basic SEO, included in the price
Every site launches with a written title and description for each page, clean URLs, a sitemap, structured data about the business, optimised images and fast loading on mobile. We register it in Google Search Console so you can see which searches bring visitors. We do not promise rankings. Google's SEO Starter Guide says there is no guarantee a site will appear in results, and that a change can show up in a few hours or take several months.
Want to compare with the rest of the market? We collected the 2026 price ranges in our guide to website costs in Romania. If you sell products online, read the page on building an online shop, because the rules and costs there are different.
What every site includes
A site you own and can run yourself
The same basics on every project, whatever the price band.
Domain and code in your name
The domain, the hosting account and the code repository belong to your company. You get full access from day one.
Edit it yourself, in Romanian and English
The admin panel has plain forms for text, photos, services and prices. Each field has a Romanian and an English version if you want a bilingual site.
Technical SEO from launch
Titles and descriptions on every page, a sitemap, structured data, hreflang for bilingual sites and a Google Search Console setup.
Fast on a phone
We test every page on mobile and in Lighthouse, Google's measuring tool. Our own site scores 100 in all four Lighthouse categories.
Legal pages and GDPR
A privacy policy, a cookie banner only if you use non-essential cookies, your company details, and forms that ask only for what you need.
Contact forms and bookings
Form messages arrive in your inbox. For appointment-based services we can connect the site to Google Calendar, with confirmation and reminder emails.
How it works
How a website project runs
- 1
Call and written quote
We talk about what you do, who your clients are and what the site has to achieve. You get a quote listing pages, features, price and deadline, in writing.
- 2
Structure and content
We agree the pages and what goes on each. You send text and photos; we shape them for the web and suggest headings that match what people type into Google.
- 3
Design and build on a preview link
You see the site on a preview link early on and send comments page by page. The number of revision rounds is written into the quote.
- 4
Launch and handover
We connect the domain, test the forms, register the site in Search Console and show you how to edit it. You receive access to every account and to the code.
Budget
Website prices by type
Prices are indicative and negotiable, and the final figure goes into a written quote. Domain, hosting and email are paid separately to their providers.

Sites we have built
We only show work you can open, and anything marked as a concept was not built for a client. RecMed is a concept site for a recovery clinic, with services, staff, a blog and online booking, taken from brief to live prototype in one week. The law-firm website is also a concept: practice areas, consultation booking, Romanian and English, and under one second to load on mobile. The Danube Labs website is live: it is edited from its own admin panel with no database and takes bookings straight into Google Calendar. The BAC exam archive shows a large site that stays fast: 3,840 official documents, with search. The rest is in the portfolio.
FAQ
Questions, answered
How much does a presentation website cost?
A static site of 1–2 pages costs €150–350, a presentation site of up to 8 pages with an admin panel €600–1,500, and a site coded from scratch starts at €2,500. The price goes up with the number of pages, a second language and special features such as bookings or integrations. The final price is written into the quote before we start.
How long does it take to build a website?
A static site usually takes 1–2 weeks once we have the text, a presentation site 3–6 weeks, and a custom site 6–12 weeks or longer. The most common cause of delay is copy and photos that arrive late. The agreed deadline goes into the quote and is tied to the date we receive your materials, so both sides know what it depends on.
Who writes the text for the site?
You know the business best, so you send the basics: services, prices, the area you cover and what sets you apart. We turn them into short, clear copy with headings that match what people search for. If you want us to write everything from scratch, including research, we list that separately in the quote. A Romanian and English site needs both versions checked by someone fluent.
Are the domain and hosting included?
The domain is bought in your company's name from a registrar and paid on the registrar's terms. Hosting for a static or presentation site can be cheap, sometimes within a provider's free plan and its limits; our own site runs on such a plan. Business email is a separate service. We help you open every account on your own email address so they stay yours.
Can I edit the website myself after launch?
On a presentation site or a custom site, yes. You log into the admin panel and change text, photos, services or prices through forms, without touching code, and we walk you through it at handover. A static site of 1–2 pages has no admin panel, so we make changes for you on request. Pick the presentation band if you expect to update the site every month.
Do you do SEO as well?
Technical SEO is included: titles and descriptions for every page, a sitemap, structured data, speed and a Google Search Console setup. We do not guarantee rankings, because nobody can do that honestly. For a local business, a complete Google Business Profile with the same name, address and phone as the site helps a lot, and regular useful content helps over time.
Do you work with companies outside Bucharest?
Yes. Danube Labs is a founder-led studio in Bucharest, and we work remotely with businesses across Romania: calls on Google Meet, shared documents and a preview link where you watch the site take shape. Prices are the same wherever you are and there are no travel costs. An in-person meeting is only realistic in Bucharest.
What happens after the site goes live?
The site is yours, with the code, the domain and the accounts. The quote states how we handle bugs caused by our work and for how long. New pages, new features or technical updates are done on request, with an estimate before each job. A static site without a database needs very little upkeep, which keeps running costs low.
Tell us what your site has to do
In a free call we settle the type of site, the price and the timeline, then you get the quote in writing.
