- command to run, nothing to deploy
GSD's config.json is powerful but opaque: over two hundred nested keys, enum values whose meaning lives in the source code, and model-routing maps that are easy to break by hand. This tool makes every setting self-explanatory and every change safe.
What we built
- One command starts a helper on the loopback address and opens the editor in your browser; nothing to deploy, no account
- Explain-then-edit cards: what each key does, its effective value versus the default, and where that value comes from
- Validation against the canonical schema before every write, atomic saves with file locks, and protection against overwriting a file that changed on disk
- Snapshot history with structural diffs and one-click restore
- Tracking for configs across many projects, and a schema refresh that follows gsd-core releases, applied only when you confirm
Covered by Vitest unit and integration suites and Playwright end-to-end tests. An early public release (v0.1.0), MIT licensed.
